Sherman Clark

Sherman Rockwell "Sherm" Clark (born November 16, 1899 in Baltimore , † November 8, 1980 in Annapolis ) was an American rowing athlete in the position of helmsman and later high military.

Sherm Clark of the United States Naval Academy took part in the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp as the helmsman in two boats . First he jumped in the four of the Pennsylvania Barge Club as the helmsman for the rowers Kenneth Myers , Carl Klose as well as Franz and Erich Federschmidt and won the silver medal with them behind the Swiss four. Then he was also the helmsman of the US eighth, which was manned by rowers from the United States Naval Academy and won the gold medal with them before the eighth of Great Britain. In 1922 he graduated from the United States Naval Academy and embarked on a military career, which he ended in 1971 with the rank of rear admiral .
