Frank Shakespeare

Franklin "Frank" Bradford Shakespeare (born May 31, 1930 in Philadelphia ) is a former American rower .

Frank Shakespeare was a cadet at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis and Bugmann the rowing eight of the academy. This eight was nominated for the 1952 Olympic Games . In Helsinki, the US eight reached the final undefeated, where he won with over five seconds ahead of the Soviet and Australian boats. It was the seventh consecutive Olympic victory for the American eighth since 1920.

In 1953, Frank Shakespeare graduated from Annapolis and became an officer in the United States Navy .
