Lloyd LeMarr Butler (born November 11, 1924 in Sparks , Nevada , United States , † May 19, 1991 in Mesa , Arizona , United States) was an American rower and Olympic champion .

Life

David Turner rowed for the California Golden Bears . As a 24-year-old, he won the gold medal in rowing ( eighth ) with the US team at the 1948 Summer Olympics in Helsinki . Turner graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1950 and later worked as an executive for the Standard Oil Company . He died in 1991 at the age of 66.
