Frank Schepke

Frank Schepke (born April 5, 1935 in Königsberg (Prussia) , † April 4, 2017 in Kiel ) was a German rower and Olympic champion. Like his brother Kraft Schepke, he won Olympic gold in eighth in Rome in 1960 . Schepke was the initiator of Kannwas, a complementary currency for Schleswig-Holstein .

Sporting successes

Schepke started for the student association ATV Ditmarsia Kiel . In 1959, the eighth of the racing community of the Ratzeburg rowing club and Ditmarsia Kiel became German champions.
