Edward "Ed" Marsh (born February 12, 1874 in Philadelphia , † October 10, 1932 there ) was an American rower . Edward Marsh rowed for the Vesper Boat Club Philadelphia .

When the Olympic rowing competitions were held for the first time at the Olympic Games in Paris in 1900 , the eighth of the Vesper Boat Club was the only American boat at the start. William Carr , Harry DeBaecke , John Exley , John Geiger , Edwin Hedley , James Juvenal , Roscoe Lockwood , Edward Marsh and helmsman Louis Abell won with six seconds ahead of the Belgian eighth.

Marsh won six US and two Canadian championships by 1902. He later worked as a coach at the West Philadelphia Boat Club .
