Michael Joseph Forgeron (born January 24, 1966 in Main-à-Dieu , Nova Scotia ) is a retired Canadian rower .

The 1.99 m tall Forgeron began rowing while studying at the University of Western Ontario . At the Pan American Games in 1991 he started for the first time in the national team: he won bronze with the eighth and together with Steve Frish silver in the two-man without a helmsman . At the 1992 Olympic Regatta , Forgeron rowed eighth, replacing Don Telfer ; the rest of the crew was unchanged from winning the silver medal at the 1991 World Championships . In Barcelona, ​​the Canadians won the first heat and finished second behind the Romanians in the first semi-final. In the final, the Canadians won with fourteen hundredths of a second ahead of the Romanians, the Germany eighth received the bronze medal.

In 1993 Forgeron finished fourth at the World Championships with the Canadian four without a helmsman , and the following year he was seventh.
