Henry Cresswell Bucknall (born July 4, 1885 in Lisbon , Portugal , † January 1, 1962 in Dumfries ) was a British rower and Olympic champion in eight .

Henry Bucknall was a member of the Leander Club . He received his education at Eton and then at Merton College , Oxford. In 1905 the eighth of Oxford won the Boat Race against Cambridge with Bucknall as batsman , in 1906 as batsman and in 1907 as a man in front of the bowman, Bucknall lost to Cambridge. At the 1908 Olympic regatta held in Henley , Bucknall won the final against the Belgian big boat as a batsman with the eighth of the Leander Club.

After his studies, Bucknall worked in Newcastle-upon Tyne for a shipbuilding company.
