Charles David "Charley" Manring (born August 18, 1929 in Cleveland , Ohio , United States , † August 7, 1991 in Bethesda , Maryland , United States) was an American rower and Olympic champion .

Life

Robert Morey began studying at Rutgers University and then went to the United States Naval Academy . As a helmsman with the US team at the age of 23, he won the gold medal in rowing at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki ( eighth ). He later became a naval officer in the United States Navy .
