Blair Horn

Blair James H. Horn (born July 17, 1961 in Kelowna ) is a retired Canadian rower .

At the Pan American Games in Caracas in 1983 , the Canadian four-man with helmsman won the bronze medal in the line-up of Paul Steele , Ron Burak , Blair Horn, Nick Toulmin and helmsman Paul Tessier . In 1984 the Canadian eight competed with Blair Horn, Dean Crawford , Michael Evans , Paul Steele, Grant Main , Mark Evans , Kevin Neufeld , Patrick Turner and helmsman Brian McMahon . At the 1984 Olympic Gamesoccupied the Canadians in the first forward to second place behind the New Zealanders and qualified in the repechage with a second place behind the Australians for the final. In the final, the Canadians won with four tenths of a second ahead of the US eighth, while the Australians won the bronze medal two seconds behind the New Zealanders.

After a back injury in 1985 Horn had to end his sporting career. After studying at York University in Toronto, he worked as a lawyer in Ontario from 1989 and in British Columbia from 1995. Horn is the director of the British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame.
