The constituency of Stormarn - Duchy of Lauenburg had constituency number 10. It was formed for the 1965 federal election from the former constituencies of Stormarn and Duchy of Lauenburg . The area of the constituency remained unchanged for the federal elections from 1965 to 1972.
Before the 1976 federal election, the constituency was split up. The area of the district of Duchy of Lauenburg formed with the southern part of the district of Stormarn the Bundestag constituency of Duchy of Lauenburg - Stormarn-Süd , while the northern part of the district of Stormarn was combined with the area of the Segeberg district to form the constituency of Segeberg - Stormarn-Nord .
