Alexander Grigoryevich Klepikov
Alexander Grigoryevich Klepikow ( Russian Александр Григорьевич Клепиков ; born May 23, 1950 in Leningrad ) is a former Soviet rower .
In 1975 the world champions in two with helmsman from 1974 Wladimir Jeschinow and Nikolai Ivanov with helmsman Alexander Lukjanow switched to four with helmsman and won the title at the World Championships in Nottingham together with Alexander Klepikow and Alexander Sema . The following year, the Russian four-man with Jeschinow, Ivanov, Klepikow, Mikhail Kuznetsov and Lukyanov also won the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal after Kuznetsov had jumped in for Sema in the final. At the rowing world championships in 1977 , the five Olympic champions from the previous year won the silver medal behind the GDR boat with the Soviet eighth .
The 1.90 m tall Alexander Klepikow rowed for Trud Leningrad at club level .
