Émile Albrecht
Émile Albrecht (* 1897 ; † February 11, 1927 in St. Moritz ) was a Swiss rower who won two Olympic medals in 1924.
At the Olympic Games in 1920 , the Swiss boat with Willy Brüderlin , Max Rudolf , Paul Rudolf and Hans Walter and helmsman Paul Staub won the Olympic gold medal after the boat had already become European champion. At the European Championships in Amsterdam in 1921, Émile Albrecht was in the boat for Hans Walter and won the title together with Brüderlin and the Rudolf brothers. The helmsman's name is unknown. At the European Championships in Como in 1923, Émile Albrecht, Richard Frey , Alfred Probst , Eugen Sigg and Hans Steiger won in a four with helmsman .
At the 1924 Olympic Games on the Seine near Argenteuil, Émile Albrecht, Alfred Probst, Eugen Sigg and Hans Walter won the bronze medal in the four without a helmsman . In a four with a helmsman, Fritz Loosli steered the four rowers into the final, while Émile Lachapelle was in the boat for Loosli , who won the gold medal.
Albrecht started for the Rowing Club Lausanne .
