Joachim Spremberg
Joachim Spremberg (born November 3, 1908 in Berlin ; † 1975) was a German rower who became Olympic champion in a four-man team in 1932 .
Joachim Spremberg was active at the Berlin RC . Spremberg won his first medal at a German championship in 1930 when he, together with Rolf Schober, Hans Eller , Helmut Kistenmacher and helmsman Johannes Schunack, took second place behind the four of the Mannheim RV . In 1931 the four-man from Berlin won the German championship title with Schober, Horst Hoeck , Spremberg, Kistenmacher and Schunack, all rowers also sat in the eighth position , which took third place in its final. In 1932 Spremberg reached the final of the 1932 Olympic Games with the Berlin foursome . With Hans Eller, Horst Hoeck, Walter Meyer , Joachim Spremberg and helmsman Carlheinz Neumann , the boat won by a narrow margin over the Italian boat. In 1933 Klaus Werner, Joachim Spremberg, Herbert Buhtz , Ernst Heiserich and Carlheinz Neumann won the German championship in four. With eighth place Spremberg took third place in the German championship in two further finals in 1933 and 1934.
