Weiler-Boppard is a residential area in the Engehöll district of the city of Oberwesel on the Middle Rhine .

The district is located on the Weiler-Bopparder Bach or just Bopparder Bach, a right side valley of the Oberbach, which flows through the Engehöller Tal to Oberwesel. The district road 91 opens up the elongated road hamlet to the L 220 in Engehöll.

history

The residential area with its wings is first mentioned in 1275 as Boppinroit. Other spellings of the place name are 1331 zuo Boppinrat, 1424 Boppenrot; 1434 Boppenrait; Delivered to Boppartt in 1507 and in Boppart in 1611. Since 1808, during the French era , the name is officially the hamlet of Boppart.
