Rosel Nitsche (born November 11, 1950 ) is a former rower from the GDR . From 1969 to 1975 Rosel Nitsche won a medal at the international season highlight.

The 1.86 m tall Rosel Nitsche from SC DHfK Leipzig was four times GDR champion from 1971 to 1974 with the four-man with helmswoman . In 1970, 1972, 1973 and 1975 she also won eighth , in 1971 and 1974 she was runner-up.

As early as 1969, Rosel Nitsche had won silver behind the Soviet boat in a foursome at the European rowing championships. In 1970 Nitsche won the European championship title in eighth, the following year eighth was second behind the boat from the Soviet Union. From 1972 Rosel Nitsche drove internationally again in the four, where she won two more silver medals in 1972 behind the Soviet four and in 1973 behind the Dutch boat. In 1974 the first rowing world championships in the women's boat classes took place. Rosel Nitsche won in 1974 in the four and 1975 in the eight.
