Emma Dyke

Emma Dyke (born June 30, 1995 in Invercargill ) is a New Zealand rower .

Career

At the Junior World Championships in 2013 Emma Dyke finished fifth with the four-man without a helmsman . In 2014 she also won the silver medal at the U23 World Championships in a foursome . In 2015 Dyke made his debut with the New Zealand eighth in the Rowing World Cup and after a fifth place in Varese finished second in Lucerne. At the 2015 World Championships on Lac d'Aiguebelette , the US eight won, the New Zealanders received the silver medal ahead of the Canadians. The New Zealand eighth with Kayla Pratt , Emma Dyke, Ruby Tew , Kelsey Bevan , Grace Prendergast , Kerri Gowler , Genevieve Behrent , Rebecca Scown and helmsman Frances Turner qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics. In Rio de Janeiro, the New Zealand eighth finished with fourth place at the 2016 Olympic Games .

In the post-Olympic season 2017, Emma Dyke, Ruby Tew, Rebecca Scown and Kelsey Bevan were four rowers from the previous year in the eighth position. In the Rowing World Cup, the eighth won in Poznan and finished second in Lucerne. At the World Championships in Sarasota , the New Zealand eighth won the bronze medal. In 2018, the New Zealand eighth finished second at the World Cup in Linz and won in Lucerne. At the World Championships in Plovdiv , the New Zealanders rowed to seventh place. The following year they finished fourth at the World Cup in Poznan and won in Rotterdam. In Linz at the 2019 World Championships , the New Zealanders won ahead of the Australians and the boat from the United States.
