Jo Lutz

Jo Lutz (born August 3, 1980 ) is a former Australian rower .

At the (unofficial) U23 World Championships in 2000, the 1.79 m tall Jo Lutz took sixth place in the four without a helmsman . The following year, Jo Lutz rowed together with Jane Robinson , Julia Wilson and Victoria Roberts in a four-man row to the world championship in the adult class. In the world championship final in Lucerne , the Australians were just over a second ahead of the New Zealanders. The four rowers also competed with the eighth and also won the title in this boat class ahead of the boats from Romania and Germany. At the 2002 World Championships , Jo Lutz only competed in eighth and won the silver medal behind the US eight, nine hundredths of a second behind the Australians, the German women's eight won the bronze medal. After a four-year break, Jo Lutz took part in the world championships again in Eton in 2006 and won two more world championship medals. Together with Robyn Selby Smith , Amber Bradley and Kate Hornsey , she won the four without a helmsman; as part of the eight, the four crew won the bronze medal behind the boats from the USA and Germany.
