Denisa Tîlvescu

Denisa Tîlvescu (born August 13, 1996 ) is a Romanian rower .

Athletic career

Denisa Tîlvescu won the Junior World Championships in 2013 with the Romanian eighth . In the two without helmsman she took second place together with Cristina-Georgiana Popescu . In 2014, Popescu and Tîlvescu competed at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing and won the competition in two. In 2015, Denisa Tîlvescu won her first medal in the adult class when she won the bronze medal behind the boats from Russia and the Netherlands with the Romanian eighth at the European Championships in Poznan .

Two years later, Tîlvescu won the title at the European Championships in Račice u Štětí ahead of the Dutch with eighth . The Romanian eighth also won the final of the Rowing World Cup in Lucerne. At the World Championships in Sarasota, the Romanians also won, with the boats from Canada and New Zealand less than a second behind. In 2018, the Romanians finished fifth at the World Cup in Linz / Ottensheim. At the European Championships in Glasgow in 2018 , Mădălina Bereș and Denisa Tîlvescu competed in an uncontrolled two and eight and won the title in both boat classes.
