Megan Delehanty

Megan Catherine Delehanty (born March 24, 1968 in Edmonton ) is a former Canadian rower .

Delehanty was active as a track and field athlete until 1988, during her studies at the University of Alberta she discovered rowing for herself. In 1990 she moved up to the Canadian national rowing team. Delehanty took part in 1991 for the only time in rowing world championships and won the gold medal in eighth . The following year, she also sat in the victorious Canadian eighth at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona . She then ended her international career. Delehanty later did her Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh .
