Shyril O'Steen
Shyril O'Steen (born October 5, 1960 in Seattle ) is a former American rower and Olympic champion.
Shyril O'Steen won her first world championship medal in 1981 , when she finished third behind the boats from the Soviet Union and the GDR with the four-man with helmswoman . In 1982 she moved to the US eighth, which won the silver medal at the 1982 and 1983 World Championships behind the eighth from the Soviet Union and before the eighth from the GDR. At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the boats from the Soviet Union and the GDR did not start because of the Olympic boycott . The US eight won the title in Los Angeles in front of the boats from Romania and the Netherlands.
