Katelin Guregian

Katelin Guregian (* as Katelin Snyder 16th August 1987 in Nashua , New Hampshire ) is an American coxswain in rowing . She is Olympic champion and four times world champion with the eighth .

Snyder began rowing in high school in 2003. At the U23 World Championships , she won the gold medal with eighth place in 2006 and 2008, and in 2007 she received the bronze medal. In the 2009 season she won her first world championship title in the adult class with eighth place, in 2010 the 2008 Olympic champion Mary Whipple returned to the boat and ousted Katelin Snyder. After winning the Olympic gold in 2012, Whipple ended her career, and Snyder has been in eighth ever since.

Snyder won four adult world titles under this name: 2009 , 2013 , 2014 and 2015 . Her greatest success so far was the 2016 Olympic victory in Rio de Janeiro . Since 2006, the US eighth has been unbeaten at the Olympic Games and World Championships.

In 2017, the US eight finished fourth at the World Championships . In 2018 Katelin Guregian drove under her new name the American eighth to the gold medal at the World Championships in Plovdiv . In 2019, the eighth from the United States took third place at the World Championships in Linz behind the boats from New Zealand and Australia.
