Kristine Norelius

Kristine Lee Norelius (born December 26, 1956 in Seattle ) is a former American rower .

The 1.85 m tall Kristine Norelius from Lake Washington RC won the silver medal behind the large Soviet boat at the 1981 World Championships with the US eighth . Of the 1981 cast Carol Bower , Carol Brown , Jeanne Flanagan , Patricia Spratlin , Kristine Norelius, Carolyn Graves , Elizabeth Hills-O'Leary , Elizabeth Miles and helmsman Valerie McClain-Ward , only Miles and sat a year later at the 1982 World Championships Norelius in the boat, which again took second place behind the Soviet Union, was joined by Shyril O'Steen , Janet Harville , Jennifer Marshall , Joline Esparza , Jane McDougall , Kristen Thorsness and helmsman Nanette Bernadou . In 1983 , the Soviet eighth won ahead of the US eighth, this time with Kristen Thorsness, Patricia Spratlin, Shyril O'Steen, Carolyn Graves, Carol Bower, Kristine Norelius, Janet Harville, Harriet Metcalf and Valerie McClain-Ward.

At the Olympic Games in 1984 , the Soviet women world champions were absent, as were the world championship thirds from the GDR because of the Olympic boycott . With Jeanne Flanagan , Kathryn Keeler and helmsman Betsy Beard for Spratlin, Harville and McClain-Ward, the US boat won by one second over the Romanians.
