Taylor Ritzel (born September 4, 1988 in Aurora , Colorado ) is an American rower and two-time world champion in eight .

Ritzel started rowing in 2006. In 2009 she won the silver medal at the U23 World Championships with the American eighth , followed by the gold medal in 2010. At the 2010 World Championships in New Zealand, Ritzel also moved into the US eighth in the adult class and immediately won the world title. At the 2011 World Cup finals, Ritzel and Caroline Lind started in two without a helmsman and took third place, while at the 2011 World Championships in Bled both rowed in eighth and helped defend the title successfully. At the Olympic Games in London , Ritzel was back in the US eighth, who was Erin Cafaro ,Zsuzsanna Francia , Esther Lofgren , Taylor Ritzel, Meghan Musnicki , Elle Logan , Caroline Lind, Caryn Davies and taxwoman Mary Whipple won the gold medal.
