Antje Rehaag (born August 1, 1965 in Hofheim am Taunus ) is a former German rower who was world champion with the eighth in 1994 .

Career

Antje Rehaag started for the Heidelberg rowing club , she started in scull boats . In 1986 she and Heike Grunert took second place at the German championships in double sculls ; In 1989 she won the title in this boat class together with Martina Kubicki. In 1988, 1989 and 1990 Antje Rehaag won the German four-four championship three times. At the 1990 World Rowing Championships , she finished fourth with a double scull.

In 1993 Antje Rehaag was back in the German national team, now as a belt oar . In 1993 she won the German championships in eighth and together with Andrea Klapheck in two without a helmsman . At the rowing world championships in 1993 Rehaag won the bronze medal in eighth place. The German eighth was even more successful in the 1994 season. At the World Championships in Indianapolis , the boat won with the cast of Kathrin Haacker , Antje Rehaag, Andrea Klapheck, Dana Pyritz , Doreen Martin , Micaela Schmidt , Stefani Werremeier , Ute Wagner and helmswoman Doreen Schnell . In 1995 and 1996 Rehaag won two more German championship titles with eighth place. At the 1995 World Rowing Championships , the German eighth finished fourth. At the end of her career, Antje Rehaag took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, where she finished eighth with the German eighth.
