Dana Peirce

Dana Peirce (born June 8, 1979 ) is a former rower from the United States who won the world title eight in 2002.

Athletic career

Dana Peirce from Richmond , Virginia , finished fourth with the American eighth at the 1996 Junior World Championships , and won the bronze medal the following year. At the 2002 World Championships in Seville, the US eight with Dana Peirce won in second position, both the second-placed Australians and the third-placed Germans were less than a second behind. In 2003 Peirce won the World Cup regatta in Munich with the eighth , but she was not used at the 2003 World Championships . In 2004 she competed in the World Cup in Munich in a single and finished eighth.

Dana Peirce graduated from the University of North Carolina and completed a veterinary degree from Cornell University . In 2011 she married former rower Jonathan Watling .
