Mihaela Armăşescu , (born September 3, 1963 in Tomşani , Vâlcea County ) is a former Romanian rower who won three Olympic medals.

Career

The 1.80 m tall Mihaela Armășescu took fifth place at the 1983 World Championships with the Romanian eighth . From the forward of the Romanians teams the world champions from the Soviet Union and the bronze medal winners from the GDR because of the stepped Olympic boycott not with the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The World Cup runners-up from the United States and the fourth-placed Canadians were just as represented in the eighth finals in Los Angeles as the Romanians.
