Annina Ruppel

Annina Ruppel (* 8. October 1980 in Herne district Wanne-Eickel ) is a former German control woman in rowing . In 2003 she was eighth world champion.

Ruppel grew Herner on district Wanne-Eickel. In 1990 she took part in a trial training camp run by the Emscher rowing club from Wanne-Eickel and remained loyal to this club and to rowing. At the age of 14 and 15, she drove the German junior eight to the world title. From 2001 to 2008 she steered the German women's eight . She won gold (2003), silver (2006) and bronze (2001 and 2002) at world championships. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, she finished fifth with eighth place. After the Olympic Games in 2008 , in which the women's eight finished seventh, she ended her career.

The 1.60 meter tall and 50 kg heavy athlete became German champion in all age groups . She is a trained banker.
