Ioana Olteanu (born February 25, 1966 in Drăcșenei , Teleorman County ) is a former Romanian rower . With two Olympic gold medals and one silver medal, she is one of the most successful rowers.

At the Olympic Games in 1992 , the Romanian eighth won silver behind the boat from Canada. In the next three years she won a complete set of medals with the Romanian eighth, gold in 1993 and bronze in 1994 followed silver in 1995. In 1996 at the 1996 Olympic Games , Olteanu won the gold medal with eighth. In the following years, the Romanian eighth with Olteanu remained unbeaten at major events, the eighth won three world titles in a row from 1997 to 1999. 2000 Olteanu received at the Olympic Games in Sydney her second Olympic gold medal.
