Henrietta Ebert

Henrietta Ebert (born January 15, 1954 in Kirchmöser as Henrietta Dobler ) is a former rower from the German Democratic Republic . In 1976 she won the Olympic gold medal with eighth .

Henrietta Dobler began rowing in Plaue an der Havel in 1971, and in 1972 she won the Spartakiade . In 1973 she finished second with the GDR eighth at the European Championships behind the boat from the Soviet Union. In the following year, the eighth from the GDR won the world championship with the line-up of Doris Mosig , Gunhild Blanke , Irina Müller , Brigitte Ahrenholz , Bianka Schwede , Ilona Richter , Henrietta Dobler, Helma Lehmann and taxwoman Sabine Brincker . The GDR eighth had won the first ever world championship title. In 1975 the GDR eighth also won the second world title, but Henrietta Dobler was not there. Together with Irina Müller, Dagmar Bauer , Helma Lehmann and Sabine Brincker, she won the title in the four with helmswoman at the 1975 World Rowing Championships in Nottingham .

From 1976, after her marriage, she started as Henrietta Ebert. At the Olympic premiere in women's rowing in Montreal in 1976 , she was back in eight. With Viola Goretzki , Christiane Knetsch , Ilona Richter, Brigitte Ahrenholz, Monika Kallies , Henrietta Ebert, Helma Lehmann, Irina Müller and helmswoman Marina Wilke , the boat also won the first Olympic gold medal in the eighth. In 1978 she finished second again at the world championships with the GDR eighth. In 1974 and 1976 she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit for her sporting achievements .

She competed for SC Dynamo Berlin . The trained confectioner worked as a cook at SC Dynamo after her career. After the reunification she worked for the district office in Berlin-Köpenick.
