Dieter Naskrent (born August 16, 1954 in Bochum ) is a lieutenant general in the air force of the Bundeswehr a. D. In his last post he was Deputy Inspector of the Air Force from April 2012 to October 2017 .

Military career

Promotions

Naskrent began his service in the German Armed Forces in 1973 with the 5th Air Force Training Regiment in Goslar . From 1973 to 1975 he was trained as an anti-aircraft missile gunner and sergeant on the Nike Hercules weapon system at the anti-aircraft missile battalion 21 in Möhnesee , before switching to an officer career. After completing his training at the Air Force Officer's School in Neubiberg , he studied economics and organizational sciences at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg with a degree in business administration.

Following his training as an anti-aircraft missile officer from 1980 to 1981 in the USA at the Air Force missile school in El Paso , Texas , he was employed as an anti-aircraft missile officer and platoon leader in the anti-aircraft missile battalion 24 in Delmenhorst .

From 1983 to 1986 Naskrent was employed as a personnel officer in the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn . He received his training as an officer in the General Staff Service from 1986 to 1988 as a participant in the National Course General Staff / Admiralty Staff Service (LGAN) at the command academy of the German Armed Forces in Hamburg .

In 1988 Naskrent returned to personnel management as head of the personnel department at the Air Force Training Command in Cologne and from 1990 as a consultant at the Federal Ministry of Defense (P IV 3) in Bonn. In 1992 he was deployed as commander of anti-aircraft missile group 42 in Schöneck with the Roland weapon system , before moving back to the Federal Ministry of Defense in 1993 as an advisor to the Air Force command staff (Fü L III 2).

From 1995 onwards he was employed again in the field of personnel management, initially as a consultant at P IV 3, from 1997 as a department head in the personnel office of the Bundeswehr in Cologne and from 2000 to 2003 as a department head in the command staff of the armed forces and the armed forces base .

After studying at the National Defense University , Washington, DC , USA, from 2003 to 2004, Naskrent was Chief of Staff in the Air Force Command in Cologne with the rank of brigadier general until 2006 and from 2006 to 2008 he was responsible for education and training at the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr . From February 2008 to June 18, 2010 he was in command of the 1st  Air Force Division in Fürstenfeldbruck . On this day he was followed as the last commander of the 1st Air Force Division, Robert Löwenstein .

On June 29, 2010, Dieter Naskrent took over the duties of Commander of the Air Force Operations Command , Commander Combined Air Operations Center Uedem and Executive Director Joint Air Power Competence Center in Kalkar and Uedem on the Lower Rhine . In his last post, Naskrent was Deputy Inspector of the Air Force from April 2012 to October 2017 . He handed over this post to Major General Ansgar Rieks and retired on October 1, 2017.

Naskrent is married and has two children.
