Günter Fiebig
Günter Friedrich Fiebig (born March 6, 1920 in Kiel , † June 7, 1984 in Bonn ) was a German naval officer, most recently a flotilla admiral of the Bundeswehr .

Fiebig occurred on 25 September 1938 as an officer cadet ( Department 38) in the seventh ship home department of the Navy of the Armed Forces in Stralsund one. In 1939 he was a midshipman on the sailing training ship Albert Leo Schlageter and on the liner Silesia . In 1939/40 he attended the naval school Mürwik near Flensburg and in 1940 the barrier school in Kiel. He then became an officer on watch on the F 7 fleet companion of the 2nd U-Flotilla . In 1940/41 he was a division lieutenant on the light cruiser Emden and took part in the 1st Flak course during this time .
From 1941 to 1943 he was division lieutenant, flak leader and adjutant on the heavy cruiser Lützow . In 1943 he was transferred to the 2nd U-Lehrdivision in Gotenhafen on the Danzig Bay . After that, he was at the Torpedo School and the Naval Intelligence School in Flensburg-Mürwik and the Navy Flakschule VIII in Swinermünde , an outer harbor of Szczecin . He was transferred to the 3rd U-Lehrdivision in Flensburg and served with the 23rd U-Flotilla in Danzig - Neufahrwasser . In 1943/44 he attended the commanders course in Memel . 1944 followed the building instruction on U 1131 ( submarine class VII ) in Kiel. From May 1944 to April 1945 he was in command of U 1131 . In April / May 1945 he was company commander of the Cremer tank hunting command and the Dönitz guard battalion. From May to July 1945 he was in command of R (evacuation boat) 52 until he was briefly taken prisoner of war in July 1945 .

In 1945/46 he was an intern in a construction company in Itzehoe . In 1946/47 he attended the State Building School in Hamburg . From 1947 to 1949 he was an authorized signatory at Schenke & Schroeder in Nordoe . In 1949 he became a travel agent.

In 1956 he was accepted into the German Armed Forces Navy . From 1956 to 1958 he was a flag lieutenant in the command of the naval forces in Sengwarden near Wilhelmshaven .
In 1958/59 he was first officer (1O) on the frigate Graf Spee and in 1959/60 on the frigate Hipper in Kiel. From 1960 to 1962 he was training director at the Naval NCO School (MUS) in Plön . From 1962 to 1964 he was an advisor to the naval command staff (Fü M III 2) in Bonn. In 1964 he became head of department in the naval command staff (Fü MI 2) there. From 1971 to 1973 he was deputy head of the staff department Fü S I in the command staff of the armed forces in Bonn.
From 1974 to 1976 he was head of staff department there and commissioner for education and training at the General Inspector of the Bundeswehr (BEBGenInsp). From 1976 to 1980 he was head of the Armed Forces Office (SKA) in Cologne . In 1980 he retired.
