Renate Schlenzig (born July 6, 1944 ) is a former rower from the GDR . From 1967 to 1974 Renate Schlenzig won a medal at the international season highlight.

The 1.86 m tall Renate Schlenzig from SC DHfK Leipzig was GDR champion in the eighth place in 1967, 1970 and 1972 . In 1969 she won together with Hanna Mitter in a double without a helmsman . She won five GDR championship titles from 1970 to 1974 in a four-man with a helmsman .

Internationally, Schlenzig won four European championship titles from 1967 to 1970 and three European silver medals from 1971 to 1973. In 1974 the first rowing world championships in the women's boat classes took place, Renate Schlenzig won in 1974 in a four-man.
