Steffi Götzelt (after marriage to Steffi Leithold ; born September 19, 1960 ) is a former rower from the German Democratic Republic .

Steffi Götzelt from SC Einheit Dresden had started as a track and field athlete, so she reached 6.35 m in the long jump in 1976 . After switching to rowing, she won three GDR championship titles in eighth place from 1981 to 1983 , and in 1984 and 1985 she rowed to second place. At the World Championships in 1981 she finished fifth with the GDR eighth, in 1982 and 1983 Götzelt won the bronze medal in eighth.

At the GDR championships in four-man championships , Götzelt took second place in 1982 and 1984, and in 1985 she won her only title in this boat class. At the 1985 World Championships , Götzelt won the world championship title in a four-man.
