Carola Lichey (born March 30, 1961 ) is a former rower from the German Democratic Republic .

Carola Lichey started for SG Dynamo Potsdam . In 1978 she was junior world champion with the eighth , the following year she and Christiane Dornbusch came fourth in the two without helmsman . In 1982, she and Kerstin Spittler took second place at the GDR championships in two-man without.

In 1983 Lichey won her first GDR championship title in eighth, followed by two more titles in this boat class in 1986 and 1987. At the World Rowing Championships in 1983 Lichey won the bronze medal with the eighth. With the four-man Lichey won in 1985 both the GDR championships and the world championships . 1986 Lichey sat in the GDR foursome and won silver behind the Romanian boat at the world championships . In 1987 she finished fourth with eighth.
