Jennifer Dore

Jennifer Dore , after marriage to Jennifer Terhaar (born December 19, 1968 in Montclair , New Jersey ) is a former American rower .

Jennifer Dore attended Kearny High School and began rowing there. The 1.88 m tall athlete won her first international medal at the 1993 World Championships when she finished second with the American eighth behind the Romanians. In the following year, the eighth won silver behind the German large boat at the World Championships in Indianapolis . At the 1995 World Championships in Tampere , the American eighth won the title. The following year at the Olympic Games in Atlanta , Jennifer Dore finished fourth with the US eight. After a ninth place in the double foursome at the 1997 World Championships , Dore won silver with the American eighth at the 1998 World Championships . At the 1999 World Championships , Dore appeared again in the double fours and finished fourth. In her second Olympic participation in Sydney in 2000 , Jennifer Dore finished fifth with a double foursome. After a two-year hiatus, during which she married the rowing coach Tom Terhaar, she returned in 2003. After two eight victories in the Rowing World Cup , the US eight finished fifth at the 2003 World Championships .
