Pauline Frasca

Pauline Frasca (born July 1, 1980 in Sale ) is a former Australian rower who won two world titles in 2005.

Athletic career

Pauline Frasca made her debut in the Rowing World Cup in 2005 , where she competed both in the Australian eighth and together with Robyn Selby Smith in the twos without a helmsman . At the World Cup opener in Eton, the eighth finished fourth, Frasca and Smith finished third in the two behind two other Australian twos. At the second World Cup regatta in Munich, the eighth won, in the two-man Smith and Frasca took second place behind the New Zealand two-man. At the World Championships in Gifu Robyn Selby Smith, Emily Martin , Pauline Frasca and Kate Hornsey won in a four without a helmsman, all four rowers also sat in the successful eight.

Pauline Frasca came eighth at the 2008 Olympic Games and finished sixth. At the 2010 World Championships , Frasca rowed with Sarah Heard , Sarah Cook and Kate Hornsey in a foursome to second place behind the boat from the Netherlands. 2011 in Bled the US foursome won the world championship final in front of the Australian boat with Peta White , Renee Chatterton , Pauline Frasca and Kate Hornsey. In the 2012 season Pauline Frasca rowed in the double scull , with which she finished fourth at the Olympic Games in London . In 2014 Frasca rowed back in eighth and finished tenth at the World Championships in Amsterdam .

The 1.80 m tall Pauline Frasca rowed for the Mercantile Rowing Club from Melbourne.
