Carline Bouw

Carline Bouw (born December 14, 1984 in Epe ) is a Dutch rower who was eighth in the 2012 Olympics .

Athletic career

Carline Bouw from the Amsterdam rowing club AASR Skøll started rowing in 2005. In 2009 she competed in the rowing world cup in the boat classes double foursome , foursome without helmsman and eight and achieved a placement among the best three boats in all three boat classes. At the 2009 World Championships in Poznan , she received the bronze medal behind the US rowers and the Romanians with eighth place. In addition, Chantal Achterberg , Nienke Kingma , Carline Bouw and Femke Dekker , all of whom also started in eighth, won the title in the non-Olympic boat class four without helmsman at the 2009 and 2010 World Championships . The Romanians won the European Championships in 2010 in eighth place ahead of the Dutch women , at the World Championships in 2010 and 2011 the Dutch eighth came in fifth. In 2014 Carline Bouw returned after a year break in the Dutch quadruple scull and finished fourth at the European Championships . At the 2014 World Championships in Amsterdam Bouw achieved seventh place with the double scull. In 2015, the Dutch women won the silver medal behind the German boat at the European Championships in quadruples. At the 2015 World Championships , the US double scull won ahead of the German boat and the Dutch women. After finishing fourth at the 2016 European Championships , Achterberg, Nicole Beukers , Inge Janssen and Carline Bouw won the silver medal behind the German double scull at the 2016 Olympic Games .

After a year off Bouw rowed at the European Championships in 2018 with the eighth to third place behind the Romanians and Britons.
