Sytske de Groot

Sytske Louise de Groot (born April 3, 1986 in Delft ) is a former Dutch rower who won a bronze medal in eighth at the 2012 Olympic Games .

Sytske de Groot won her first international medal at the 2009 World Rowing Championships when she finished eighth and won the bronze medal behind the US boat and the Romanians. In 2010 the Romanians won the 2010 European Rowing Championships ahead of the Dutch. At the 2010 and 2011 World Rowing Championships , the Dutch eighth finished fifth. In her only Olympic participation, she won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games with the Dutch eighth in the line-up of Jacobine Veenhoven , Nienke Kingma , Chantal Achterberg , Sytske de Groot, Roline Repelaer van Driel , Claudia Belderbos , Carline Bouw , Annemiek de Haan and helmsman Anne Schellekens 2012 behind the US eight and the Canadians.
