Claudia Belderbos
Claudia Renate Belderbos (born January 23, 1985 in Doorn ) is a former Dutch rower who was eighth in the 2012 Olympics .
Athletic career
The 1.76 m tall Claudia Belderbos from the Algemene Utrechtse student Roeivereniging Orca began rowing in 2008. In 2009 she competed in the rowing World Cup for the first time with the Dutch quadruple , but then soon moved to eight . At the 2009 World Championships , she won the bronze medal with eighth place. In 2010, the eighth won the silver medal behind the Romanians at the European Championships , and the eighth finished fifth at the World Championships . The eighth also came in fifth at the 2011 World Championships . When she first took part in the Olympics, Belderbos won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games with the Dutch eighth in the line-up Jacobine Veenhoven , Nienke Kingma , Chantal Achterberg , Sytske de Groot , Roline Repelaer van Driel , Claudia Belderbos, Carline Bouw , Annemiek de Haan and helmsman Anne Schellekens 2012 .
In 2014 Claudia Belderbos returned after a year break in the Dutch four-four and finished fourth at the European Championships . In 2015 Claudia Belderbos moved back to eighth and won the silver medal behind the Russian boat at the European Championships . At the 2015 World Championships , the eighth finished sixth. Belderbos and the Dutch eighth started the 2016 Olympic season by winning the silver medal at the 2016 European Championships . Two weeks later, the Dutch eighth qualified in Lucerne as the last boat for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . There the Dutch women achieved sixth place.
