Muwatti
Muwatti was the daughter of the Hittite great king Šuppiluliuma I and the wife of Mašḫuiluwa , the king of Mira .
Mašḫuiluwa, son of King Tarḫuntaradu of Arzawa , was expelled by his brother Uḫḫaziti after the death of his father and came to Ḫattuša as a refugee . He was taken in by Šuppiluliuma I, who gave him his daughter Muwatti for marriage. Since the couple remained childless, Mursili II allowed them to adopt the Kupantakurunta . After Mašḫuiluwa, who had been installed as a vassal king over Mira, rose against Muršili, he had to flee and was ultimately extradited. His successor as vassal king over Mira was his adopted son Kupantakurunta.
