Caryn Davies (born April 14, 1982 in Ithaca , New York ) is a former American rower .

Davies, who starts for the Radcliffe College Crew Team , celebrated her first success by starting in eighth at the 2002 World Rowing Championships in Seville , where the boat won the gold medal. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , she and her team members Katherine Johnson , Sam Magee , Mary Whipple , Megan Dirkmaat , Alison Cox , Anna Mickelson , Laurel Korholz and Lianne Nelson won the silver medal. Two years later, the team succeeded in winning the world championship title again at the 2006 World Rowing Championships in Eton . The team also achieved this success at the 2007 World Rowing Championships in Munich . At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , the team won the gold medal.

After a two-year break, Davies returned to the regatta courses in 2011 and together with Katherine Glessner took eighth place at the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Bled. At the Olympic Games in London , Davies was back in the US eighth, who won the gold medal in the line-up of Erin Cafaro, Zsuzsanna Francia, Esther Lofgren , Taylor Ritzel , Meghan Musnicki , Elle Logan, Caroline Lind, Caryn Davies and Mary Whipple.
