Kristina Larsen (rower)

Kristina Larsen (born March 17, 1978 in Sydney ) is a former Australian rower .

The 1.81 m tall Kristina Larsen rowed internationally for Australia in the junior division since 1995. In 1996 she took third place in the two-man category at the Junior World Championships without a helmsman . In 1997 and 1998 she won the title at the (unofficial) U23 World Championships in a foursome without a helmsman . At the Olympic Games in 2000 in her hometown, she finished fifth with eighth . The following year she won the eighth title at the World Championships in Lucerne in front of the boats from Romania and Germany. At the 2002 World Championships , Kristina Larsen, Jodi Winter , Rebecca Sattin and Victoria Roberts from last year's eighth also rowed in the four without a helmsman and won the final two seconds ahead of the Canadians. All the rowers of the four-man were also in the eighth, who fought a close race with the German boat behind the US eighth. At the finish line, the Australians had a lead of nine hundredths of a second to win the silver medal. At the 2003 World Championships , the Australian eighth was fourth and missed the medal positions by one and a half seconds.
