Amanda Polk (born August 2, 1986 in Pittsburgh ) is an American rower , Olympic champion and five-time world champion in eight .

Polk started rowing in 2002 and competed in the Junior World Championships in 2004 , where she finished seventh with the American eighth. In 2008 she won eighth place in the U23 world regatta . At the 2009 World Rowing Championships in Poznan, she finished second behind the boat from the Netherlands together with Jamie Redman , Elle Logan and Esther Lofgren in the four-man without helmsman .
