Anna Goodale

Anna Goodale (born March 18, 1983 in Montville , Maine ) is a former American rower , she is an Olympic and four-time world champion.

Goodale began rowing in 2001. In her first major international championship participation, she finished fourth with the American eighth in Gifu in 2005 . In 2006 she started the World Cup season together with Lindsay Shoop in a double without a helmsman , but then moved to eighth, at the World Championships in Eton she won the gold medal with eighth. 2007 was similar: at the first World Cup she was seventh together with Shoop in the uncontrolled two-man, at the World Cup finals in Lucerne and at the World Championships in Munich she won eighth. In 2008, Goodale competed in the first World Cup regatta with Susan Francia in a pair without a helmsman, at the World Cup regatta in Lucerne and at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , she rowed again in the victorious US eight. Goodale won two more titles with eighth at the 2009 and 2010 World Championships , then retired from her career.
