Harriet Metcalf
Harriet "Holly" Morris Metcalf (born March 25, 1958 in Providence ) is a former American rower .
Life
Metcalf studied music and English at Mount Holyoke College , where she received her bachelor's degree in 1981 . At Harvard University after she managed the degree in psychology . Between 1981 and 1987 Metcalf won three silver and one bronze medal at the World Rowing Championships. In 1984 she won the gold medal in the women's eight at the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles . Metcalf is openly gay.
