Amanda Elmore

Amanda Elmore (born March 13, 1991 in West Lafayette , Indiana ) is an American rower and 2015 world champion in quadruples .

Amanda Elmore began studying biology after high school at Purdue University in her hometown, where she also joined the university's rowing team. In 2012 and 2013 she won the title at the U23 World Championships with the US eight . After graduating from Purdue University, Amanda Elmore moved to the University of Michigan in 2013 for her postgraduate degree in biomedicine. Amanda Elmore has been part of the US national team since 2015 and trains in Princeton. At the 2015 World Championships on Lac d'Aiguebelette, the quadruple with Amanda Elmore, Tracy Eisser , Olivia Coffey and Megan Kalmoe won in front of the boats from Germany and the Netherlands. In the Rowing World Cup Amanda Elmore won in 2016 in Lucerne with the US eighth. The winning streak of the US figure eight at World Championships and Olympic Games, which has been going on since 2006, continued at the 2016 Olympic Games as Emily Regan , Kerry Simmonds , Amanda Polk , Lauren Schmetterling , Tessa Gobbo , Meghan Musnicki , Elle Logan , Amanda Elmore and helmswoman Katelin Snyder won ahead of the British and Romanians.
