Dana Faletic

Dana Faletic (born August 1, 1977 in Hobart ) is a former Australian rower .

Dana Faletic finished sixth in the singles at the (unofficial) U23 World Championships in 1995 . In the same year she was in an eleventh place in the Junior World Championships . In 1996 she finished fifth in the double scull at the U23 World Championships .

The 1.78 m tall Dana Faletic finished eighth in a double scull at the 2001 World Championships together with Monique Heinke . The following year, the Australian double scull with Donna Martin , Dana Faletic, Sally Robbins and Amber Bradley reached fourth place at the World Championships in Seville . At the 2003 World Championships in Milan, Jane Robinson , Dana Faletic, Kerry Hore and Amber Bradley won in front of the boats from Belarus and Germany. In 2004, Rebecca Sattin switched to double fours for Robinson. In the line-up of Faletic, Sattin, Hore and Bradley, the boat reached the A-final at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens . In the final, the Australians crossed the finish line in fourth place, 42 hundredths of a second behind third. Due to the later doping disqualification of the Ukrainian Olena Olefirenko , the Australians won the bronze medal behind the Germans and the British.

After a year break, Dana Faletic rowed again in the Australian quadruple scull at the 2006 World Championships in Eton. In the cast of Catriona Sens , Sonia Mills , Dana Faletic and Sally Kehoe , the boat took third place and after the doping disqualification of the Russian boat received the silver medal behind the British women. Six years later Dana Faletic returned to the Australian four-four for the 2012 Olympic Games in London . Dana Faletic, Kerry Hore, Pauline Frasca and Amy Clay finished fourth on the Eton regatta course, one second behind the third-placed boat from the United States.
