Sally Kehoe

Sally Kehoe (born September 29, 1986 in Toowoomba ) is a former Australian rower .

Career

Sally Kehoe won the Junior World Championships in 2003 together with Tara Kelly in double sculls , in 2004 she won the competition in singles . Also in 2004 she took second place in the U23 World Championships behind the German Magdalena Schmude . In 2005 Sally Kehoe competed in the adult class together with Amber Bradley in a double scull. At the World Championships in Gifu , the two won the bronze medal. In 2006 Kehoe switched to the double foursome, who won the silver medal at the World Championships in Eton in the cast of Catriona Sens , Sonia Mills , Dana Faletic and Sally Kehoe . In 2007 Sally Kehoe switched from scull rowing to oar rowing , at the World Championships in Munich she took fourth place with eighth , and the following year Sally Kehoe took sixth place with the Australian eighth at the Olympic Games in Beijing .

In 2009 Kehoe returned in the double scull and finished fourth with Philippa Savage at the World Championships in Poznan . In 2010 the World Championships took place on Lake Karapiro in New Zealand. In the women's double fours, three European boats won the medals, followed by Kelly Hore , Brooke Pratley , Kim Crow and Sally Kehoe in fourth place. The following year at the 2011 World Championships in Bled , the Australian double scull took fourth place again, this time in the line-up of Amy Clay , Sarah Cook , Brooke Pratley and Sally Kehoe. At her second Olympic participation in 2012 in Eton , Sally Kehoe rowed back in eighth in Australia and finished sixth like four years earlier.

After a year break, Sally Kehoe returned to the regatta courses in 2014 and together with Olympia Aldersey won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Amsterdam , after the two set a world best time for the double scull in the semifinals . A year later, Aldersey and Kehoe finished tenth at the 2015 World Championships on Lac d'Aiguebelette . At the 2016 Olympics , Kehoe rowed to ninth place along with Genevieve Horton .

Sally Kehoe, who is 1.71 m tall, studied economics and international finance at the University of Queensland in Brisbane and then moved to Sydney, rowing for the Sydney University Boat Club .
