Tina Manker

Tina Manker (born March 3, 1989 in Ludwigsfelde ) is a former German rower . In 2011 she was world champion in quadruples .

Career

Manker was the 2006 junior world champion in quadruples, and at the 2007 Junior World Championships she was second behind the Chinese Weiwei Zhu in singles . 2008 won Manker together with Sophie Dunsing in the double sculls the World Cup in the age group U23 .

In 2009 Manker competed in the active class for the first time in the World Cup and won the World Cup regattas in Munich and Lucerne in a double foursome. At the 2009 World Rowing Championships , she and Sophie Dunsing took eighth place in the double scull. In 2010 Manker won the German championship title in double sculls together with Julia Richter , her teammate at the rowing club at Wannsee . At the European Rowing Championships 2010 , she competed in double fours with Britta Oppelt , Carina Bär and Julia Richter, the four German rowers won the silver medal behind the Ukrainians. At the World Championships , the four finished third behind the boats from the UK and Ukraine.

In 2011 Manker won in singles and together with Sophie Dunsing in double sculls at the German Championships. After two World Cup victories in four-four, Britta Oppelt, Stephanie Schiller , Julia Richter and Tina Manker won gold at the World Championships in Bled . At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 , she finished ninth in the double scull with Stephanie Schiller.
