Michael Speth

Michael Speth (* 1951 ) is a German gardener and rower.

Career

As a young man, Speth was an active rower. The greatest sporting success was winning the bronze medal in the lightweight eighth at the 1974 World Rowing Championships in Lucerne.

In addition to his sporting career, he completed an apprenticeship as a gardener with the master's examination and was the best in the region. In the early 1980s he took over his parents' nursery in Regensburg . For professional interests, he initially acted as the contact person for the state vocational school center in Regensburger Land. In 2003 he took over the chairmanship of the legal and tax committee in the Bavarian Horticultural Association (BGV). From 2006 to 2012 he was Vice President of the BGV.
